Is there any place in this glorious vision of the future for what PEOPLE may actually WANT - as opposed to what is forced upon them by scientists and authorities because it is POSSIBLE?

At what point can people get up and say, "But I don't WANT a future like that!"?

The technocrat answers "Nevertheless, that is what is going to happen.  BECAUSE WE CAN, WE WILL.  What is good is whatever we will be able to do."

You can be certain that, whatever science makes possible, however horrendous it may be, someone will come along and want to DO.  "BECAUSE WE CAN, IT MUST BE OK."

So has man come of age?  No, man is back in the playpen, throwing out all his toys as usual.  "Believe in God?  Shan't!"
